Today, our last day in SFX makeup we did our second final look which took either half a day or a whole day. We implemented skills we learned for the last 2 weeks, and designed a final look of our own to complete in class. Some of the students used the morning to prepare for their final looks in the afternoon and some students started on their look right away. Below are some images of the final looks from today:

Day 8

  Today, we started making our first final looks! The final looks are meant to be our end-of-j-term final project to showcase what we learned over our time in SFX. In the morning, we either spent our time prepping, making prosthetics and add-ons, or beginning the application of our final looks. After lunch, we ended the day by finishing our looks or doing a new one!

Day 7

  Today was one of our busiest! We started off the morning with our presentations on the makeup of different eras, and followed up with a few hours to work on a makeup look inspired by the era that stood out to us. In the afternoon, we were given time to brainstorm and design our final looks for the end of our J-term. These designs are meant to challenge our skills and engage the techniques that we have learned throughout the week.

Day 6

  On Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30 we did makeup looks from different eras and styles of art. Ms. Vasquez came into our class on Monday and presented to us about different eras and styles of art throughout history. We could choose to either do a makeup look based off of one of the styles of art that Ms. Vasquez had presented on or to find and research a different style. In the afternoon we chose an era of makeup to research from any year and place. We worked on our slideshows for the whole afternoon to be ready to present tomorrow.
